Presto Hot Air Popcorn Popper
The Presto Hot Air Popcorn machine also known as the "Pop-Lite", gets our top vote for the best air popper. If you are on a budget and you are looking for cheap popcorn machines on the market, this is as inexpensive as it gets. Whether it is bought new or used it is quite a bargain for yourself or as a gift for someone who loves popcorn.
Pros What we love about this popping machine:-
It is has a simple design
No oil is needed to pop kernels making it a healthier choice
Easy to use
Cleaning up after use is very simple
Can be neatly stored when not in use
Takes up very little space during use
Cons Things that are not so great about this popper:-
There is no on/off switch, using the power cord to start and stop the machine is a little awkward.
Kernels may flying out of the shoot during the warm up process, this can be considered unsafe
Sometimes to get popcorn directly into the bowl and avoid any mess, a makeshift shoot made out of foil helps guide the popcorn into the bowl. Extra work.
Heating cup for butter provided doesn't quite work the way it should, other alternative is microwaving butter and pouring over the popped kernels.
Despite the not so positive points about this Presto Popper, it doesn't take away from the fact that it is an essential in our households. It is a healthier and inexpensive option for this beloved snack.
Another great popcorn popper is the Westbend Popcorn Popper. It has its highs and lows but can still give you and your family a wonderful popcorn experience. Like all air popping machines no oil is used.
Here are some of the things we love about this popper:-
It has an on/off switch, this is probably the best thing about it.
A very sleek and stylish design.
Not so great things about this machine:-
Popcorn kernels may fly out of the popper during the heating stage. Not fun to experience.
All in all, this popper can get the job done and with the upside of an on/off switch you should still have a great time making popcorn with this machine.
